(More customer reviews)This is a replacement for the one that broke.It only broke after 3 years and over 100 blankets I made using it.My friends were cutting theirs by hand until I invited them over to see the quicker easier way and we all have one now. There was only one problem, I went to 3 Joanns stores and they didn't have them so I went to Amazon and there they were.Amazon sent it right away so I am back to making blankets.Thanks Amazon!

(More customer reviews)This light has a great price point, can be direct wired to a dimmer, and has a nice satin nickel finish.Two installation/design challenges:

1. the punch outs along the back edge for the wiring grommet conflict with the way the cover folds back into place.You may need to turn the retaining ring on the grommet to get the door to close.

2. The rocker switch that comes installed in the unit is plastic and is only held in place by little plastic friction tabs.The wiring can force the switch to pop out so keep the wiring connections at the other end of the box.

If you are installing new wiring as the kitchen is being build, be sure to leave at least 24" from the face of the wall to get to the light and into the wiring box.Also, there are small black o-ring washers for the screws of the wiring box cover which are easily overlooked.

(More customer reviews)Ordered four of these for my kitchen.Three arrived with cracks in the plastic end cap(s) because of poor packing by Amazon.Replacements arrived within 10 days.Installation was a breeze.Slim dimensions so they don't stick out from under the cabinet. When illuminated the fixture gets very warm, so you would not want to put this where you may touch it. Very quiet (no fluorescent ballast humming).Lighting is very even.Regardless of whether you purchase this, you probably want a fixture with a high (work) and low (dim) setting like this one has.Used the American Lighting Linking Cable to connect three of the four lights -- worked perfect!
