There are several features that have been very helpful.
1) I have a very small hand, and the cutter fits well. I'm right handed, but it flips 100% (and it feels good in my hand both ways), so it is great for left or right handers. And, the 45 mm size is a nice fit for my needs.
2) I especially appreciate the "rough" edges along the top edge where I rest my thumb, since it permits me to firmly press down on the fabric.
3) It is made of tungsten steel, meaning it has a long life (I've cut 2 quilts using this blade.
4) The blade cover is nice.I must admit I've tried to cut fabric with it in place, trust me, you have to move it back or the blade won't cut.
5) While I have not yet replaced the blade, I did check it out to make sure it is easy to replace - all you do is unscrew it from the back (hand screw - no tools needed) and put the new one on.

Since I had never used a rotary cutter, it took a bit of learning to use it correctly. If this is your first, practice on some scrap fabric before you begin on your expensive stuff.

I have not used any of the more expensive cutters, but am completely satisfied with this one for my personal cutting needs, cotton and polyester blend fabrics for quilting.
