(More customer reviews)I was a bit unsure as to whether I should buy this or not after seeing the odd bulb that it requires, but to my surprise, Wal-Mart even sells them. They're not too expensive, either, and they last a long time. The lamp itself has a very sturdy feeling flexible neck. Not like those cheap ones that end up flailing all over the place. The only part that doesn't seem extremely durable is the head. While the rest of the lamp is composed of metal, the head is made of plastic. As long as you're careful, however, I don't think it would break. I only wish the on/off switch (which feels quite sturdy, by the way) was on the pole part instead of the head. I use this lamp to read with when in bed and it would be easier to reach the switch if it was on the pole instead of the head. But that's a minor gripe, barely worth noting. I'm just glad I live alone because this thing is rather bright, and a partner in bed would not be able to get to sleep with it on. Oh yes, I almost forgot. Do not buy this lamp online if you have a Menard's store near your location. They sell them for around $30, which is a lot less than you can get them here.
